Ten years ago I returned to Denver and admit that my passion for photography has overtaken my career as an architect. There is something about the instant gratification of photography, combined with more control of the creative process and my love of gadgets, that seem to form a powerful elixir. My emphasis on shape, color, and repeating patterns aim to draw the viewer away from function and pull them to a landscape’s powerful aesthetic.
Paul Brokering is a licensed architect, professional photographer, builder, and craftsman. He has skills in design, engineering, codes, most trades, lighting, optical illusions, cost estimating, and working with teams that deliver on time and on budget. Paul designs buildings and creates photographic installations including fine art prints, large prints, and large murals. He also photographs buildings for other architects and has remodeled five houses. Paul has been exhibiting his photography in Colorado and Nebraska since 2005 along with many other art installations.
